We are commemorating the 20th anniversary in a few ways throughout 2014.
First, we will be having an intergenerational celebration & Camp Common Ground "family reunion" the weekend of May 9 - 11, 2014. The main event on the evening of Saturday, May 10 will bring together members of the Common Ground community with the general public for music, dancing, and memories of Camp Common Ground's past. There will be a tribute to the beloved Rachel Bissex; in Rachel's honor, her daughter Emma Sky will be performing along with lots of other talented musicians from Common Ground and the local community. Guests are invited to spend the weekend catching up with old friends, meeting new folks, and enjoying being in nature together! Click here to RSVP for the event and sign up for lodging if needed.
Second, we will be releasing a commemorative cookbook featuring favorite vegetarian recipes from our chefs and campers along with history, stories, and photos about Camp. The cookbook will be available at the 20th anniversary celebration and throughout the summer in our Camp store.
Finally, stay tuned for fun activities that celebrate Camp's past during Camp Common Ground this summer.
We are also welcoming ideas for adding a spirit of cooperation, creativity, and community to our 20th year, so feel free to get in touch at info[at]cgcvt.org or 802.453.2592802.453.2592 with ideas or to volunteer!
